Athens, GA Wedding Hair for a Boho-Chic Bride

At Pageboy Salon, we absolutely love weddings. Even more, we love working with brides to ensure they feel their most beautiful when they walk down the aisle.

Back in May, our ever-so talented stylist Mary had the opportunity to work with the gorgeous Marissa Sandidge to come up with a hairstyle that would work with her bohemian influenced wedding at the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia. A few days ago, This Is You shared their beautiful photos of Marissa and Nate's Athens, GA wedding, and we couldn't wait to show them off!

The Trial

Marissa was a client of Mary's for nearly a decade, so when she started planning her wedding, it only felt right to enlist the help of Mary.

At her bridal hair trial, Marissa described her vision of her wedding day and Mary listened intently. She wanted a look that was elegant, yet relaxed -- something natural, with a bit of a "boho" feel and they quickly decided on this gorgeous, effortless style. The final look was perfect for Marissa's wedding day.

Loose waves and a side swept bang worked perfectly with her face shape and flawlessly complemented her wedding day makeup by The Blondeshell. As is usually the case with summer weddings in Athens, GA, humidity was an issue. The morning drizzle created a sweltering, humid afternoon, but thanks to Mary and The Blondeshell, her hair and makeup would stay put for hours.

Wedding Day Hair Despite the Athens, GA Humidity

Since the bride and several of the bridesmaids had long, fine hair, Mary used plenty of dry shampoo to combat the limpness that the humidity would otherwise inevitably cause. The result was a style that would stay put long after the dancing ended.
